Single platform for targeted information on current and predicted levels of air pollution in the territory of a Municipality. Specifically, the system provides air quality monitoring and forecasting services on an automated platform to provide air quality data at high spatial and temporal pollution resolution with the collaborative input of citizens.
Through the system’s services, users will be able to receive personal updates on the levels of air pollution they are exposed to daily. The proposed solution involves the installation of a network of smart stand-alone sensors measuring air quality, micro-particles and local meteorological data at central hubs of the city and at points of increasing pollution that will be selected based on historical pollution, traffic and weather data from public sources.
Data will be collected in real time to automatically derive geospatially tagged air quality indicators for the entire Municipality based on international and European AQI air quality standards.
System Features:
- Measurement sensors.
- (Carbon monoxide (CO), Nitrogen oxides (NO, NO2), Ozone (O3) etc)
- Spatial mapping of sensors.
- Possibility of notification (alerts) on values outside the limits.
